Joshua Tree March Art Walk

Community Infinity Box by Matt Elson at Taylor Junction Gallery

The Joshua Tree Art Walk takes place on the second Saturday of each month. It’s always high vibes with art loving locals hanging out and meeting community. It’s also a great opportunity for visitors to witness and soak up the arts culture and cast of characters of the high desert.

Art Walk takes place in Joshua Tree Village from 6-9pm with participating galleries Hey There Projects, Taylor Junction, La Matadora Gallery, Joshua Tree Art Gallery and some pop-ups along the way. The Beauty Bubble museum is also open with a collection of over 3000 pieces of hair and beauty memorabilia.

Hey There Projects was founded by artists, old friends and art instructors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Mark Todd and Aaron Smith. The gallery is a playful curation that includes a retail shop with unique gifts, books and more art. They have the best t-shirts too boot.

You will always find the most interesting flavor of folk at La Matadora founded by Colleena Hake in 2017. Her “post-mod art” curation carries a sense of humor and the opening parties pour outside her tiny space with performance, bands or DJ’s.

Crossroads Café and Sky High Pie are open for late night dines with Joshua Tree Saloon (open 365 days of the year), on the corner of Park Ave. and Hwy 62. Hopefully more of the downtown shops will join in as the weather warms.

Weather conditions etc. can alter the event so we advise calling your favorite gallery to make sure they are open.
