Happy Birthday Other Desert Radio

Happy 3rd Birthday to Other Desert Radio, our local community based online radio station. From experimental soundtracks to groovin international mixes, OtherDesertRadio streams 24/7, uploading new shows every Monday. 

ODR is another creative desert diamond to tout. I’m hooked, currently hypnotized by the meditative landscape transmitting in the background of my workspace. The station is a passion project of New York transplants and inspired sound artists Caroline Partamian and Ethan Primason. All djs and contributors are volunteers that live in the high desert. Never miss a show. Archives are on their Mix Cloud page or for purchase on their shop.

Beyond radio broadcasts, the station records live performances or performances inspired by broadcast, like interviewing people at the local swap meet. Primason explains his inspiration as a means of community engagement and a platform for people to have some creative output. Open to work pitches including podcasts, the artist criteria is living here as a local.
